Overview

PUMA Signal is the outcome of a semester long, future focused engagement with PUMA. Not another sneaker. The workflow underneath one.

The brief was simple to state and hard to deliver. How does a brand with a century of heritage continue to launch products globally, on time, with precision and emotional resonance? Signal is the platform answer. A centralized enterprise hub that gives product, marketing, retail, and regional teams the shared context they need to move together.

Project Scope

Five lenses, one outcome.

The team's brief framed the work as a discipline rather than a deliverable. The product had to honor where PUMA has been and prepare it for where it's going.

  1. 01

    Understanding Culture

What today's PUMA audience already cares about, and what they'll care about next.

  2. 02

    Respecting PUMA's Heritage

A century of design language that the new work has to feel native to.

  3. 03

    Designing Innovation with Discipline

New ideas that arrive on the calendar they were promised on.

  4. 04

    Empowering Creative Teams

Workflows that protect the work between decisions, not just at them.

  5. 05

    Launching Globally with Resonance

Precision in the rollout, emotion in the moment of contact.

My Role

Trend forecasting first. Product design second.

I led trend forecasting and competitive analysis for the engagement. The work studied how PUMA shows up against its competitors in retail and online, and how the brand lives in people's day to day. The research surfaced the operational gap between what the company wants to feel like and how its teams actually work day to day.

That gap is what PUMA Signal is for. I designed the platform end to end. A single hub for internal communication, decisions, assets, and regional context, built so that the moment a campaign decision lands in Somerville, the team in Singapore knows what changed and why.

From Concept to Final

A platform that came together one screen at a time.

The earliest concept lived as a dark, branded entry point. The promise of a single connected platform with very little inside it yet. The final build became a full enterprise hub. Dashboards, campaign boards, decision logs, asset libraries, and a global map view, all wearing the same PUMA voice.

Every Screen

The platform, in nine views.

Signal is built as a collection of focused workspaces. Each one solves for a specific kind of cross team friction. Below, every page in the final build, in the order a working day might move through them.
